The Australasian Boys Education Network (ABEN, pronounced ay-ben) provides a practice and research framework to support the accumulation of evidence-based knowledge to improve learning outcomes for boys. It provides:
- access to the knowledge-base of research and professional experience about “what works” in the education of boys; and
- an environment that supports schools to work together in addressing the needs of boys.
The ABEN provides a national professional learning program for teachers.
Leading professionals from education and from other disciplines contribute to the professional learning program.
The ABEN also supports schools with expertise in the education of boys to serve as Lead-Schools in learning networks to sustain the professional program among teachers.
Membership of the network is open to individuals, schools and other organisations that have a direct interest in the improvement of educational outcomes for boys. If you have not already registered, please register.
